About the Camp: Booking terms & conditions

Please read carefully before filling in the Booking Form

Camp registration will start at 11:00am on Saturday 28 March with informal practice or free time in the afternoon for those who can arrive early, and then formal classes beginning in the early evening. The camp will close after lunch on the following Saturday. The cost of the full residential course will cover all training, meals and accommodation for 8 nights. All accommodation will be provided on site. You will be responsible for your own travel arrangements and costs. Places are limited and priority will be given to those wishing to stay at the College but a small number of places will be available for non residential students.

Taiji Experience:

To help us plan the training, please let us know whether you are currently a student of Jin’s Taiji method, or visiting us from another Taiji system, or are a beginner to Taiji.

Your Details:

Please help us to keep in touch with you by fully completing this section. A working email address will help us to minimise costs whenever we need to contact you. If you do not have access to email we will contact you by either phone or post. If your contact details change please let us know. Your details will be retained in confidence and only used to update you about the camp and other Taiji events. This information will be deleted on request.

Booking Process:

There has already been a lot of interest in the camp and places will be offered on a first-come, first served basis. Early booking is strongly recommended. Once all available places are filled, new applicants will be put onto a reserve list to be used to fill cancellations.

• In order to secure a place you will need to request a booking form, more details on the booking form information page

• To reserve your place complete a booking form and post it with your deposit of £150 by the 20th of February 09' to:

• Bookings will not be accepted without a completed booking form.

• An ‘early payment’ discount price of £540 will apply if you pay in full by 16th January 2009.

• Bookings will be confirmed once the cheque for the deposit or full payment has been cleared or a bank transfer received.

• The full cost of the workshop inclusive of training fees, accommodation, all meals and tea/coffee in the afternoon is £590

• The non-residential cost of the workshop inclusive of training fees, all meals and tea/coffee in the afternoon is £510

•The registration is only confirmed (& therefore your place reserved) once we have received a deposit of £150, by the registration deadline of 20th February 2009

•The balance can be paid in advance by cheque or bank transfer, or at the camp by cash or cheque only.

We strongly recommend that you attend the camp as a resident, as it is designed to be a retreat environment, away from the distractions of work and daily home life, and note there is an early start in the mornings. A significant element of this type of camp training lies in the informal practice and sharing of experience between participants outside the formal classes.

Cancellations:

If you cancel earlier than four weeks before the camp starts, we will retain a part-payment of £30. The deposit will not be refunded for a later cancellation.

Accommodation:

There is a choice of one, two, three and six bedded rooms. Please indicate your preference on the booking form and we will endeavour to meet your request. If you are travelling with a group and wish to share a room please provide their names.

What To bring:

It is likely that Jin will continue to teach the Taiji Kun (Staff Form), which was begun at the 2007 camp. If possible, please bring a suitable staff (approx 6ft or 2m long) with you. Overseas visitors who do not wish to fly to the UK with a staff, please let us know as we have a small number of staffs that may be loaned for the duration of the camp).

During the Free time in the afternoon the swimming pool and tennis courts will be available, please bring swimming kit and tennis rackets if you wish to make full use of the excellent facilities. Please note the accommodation does not provide towels or toiletries.

Miscellaneous:

Either when booking, or at camp registration, please let us know if you have any medical conditions which may impact on your training. Note that hard soled shoes may not be worn in the training hall.

An indication of your likely travel arrangements will be helpful particularly if you require car parking.
